Kikuyu is a strong and fast growing turf.
- It is dormant in winter
- Kikuyu has good drought tolerance
- Responds well to irrigation and fertilization
- Does not grow well in shade.

Palmetto St. Augustine is a hardy, low maintenance grass perfectly suited for home lawns and commercial use. Its tolerance to drought and cold, resistance to disease, and adaptability to moderately shaded areas make a very versatile turf.
Some benefits of Palmetto Buffalo grass are:
- Less mowing
- Hard wearing
- Recovers rapidly from damage
- Deep and fast establishing root system
- Competes with weeds
- Drought tolerant
- Will tolerate sun and dappled
- shade Soft leaf
It should be noted that this turf will go dormant in winter in Central and Western areas of NSW.

The Tall Fescue is a cooler climate grass, which is shade and frost resistant. It is a deep-rooted grass, with a fine leaf texture and dark colour.
- Grows well in shade.
- Green all year round, frost resistant.
- Does not run.
- Once established, it needs to be watered regularly – a good soaking twice a week.Automatic watering system recommended.
- Should be fertilised regularly.
- Needs to be mown at least 2 inches high, and will not tolerate being shaved low to the ground.
- Ground preparation is particularly important, especially with the Tall Fescue
