  • It is dormant in winter
  • Kikuyu has good drought tolerance
  • Responds well to irrigation and fertilization

Palmetto St. Augustine is a hardy, low maintenance grass perfectly suited for home lawns and commercial use. Its tolerance to drought and cold, resistance to disease, and adaptability to moderately shaded areas make a very versatile turf.

Some benefits of Palmetto Buffalo grass are:

Fescue

The Tall Fescue is a cooler climate grass, which is shade and frost resistant. It is a deep-rooted grass, with a fine leaf texture and dark colour.

  • Grows well in shade.
  • Green all year round, frost resistant.
  • Does not run.
  • Once established, it needs to be watered regularly – a good soaking twice a week.Automatic watering system recommended.
  • Should be fertilised regularly.
  • Needs to be mown at least 2 inches high, and will not tolerate being shaved low to the ground.
  • Ground preparation is particularly important, especially with the Tall Fescue
